Unlikely Style Muse: Kim Kardashian

I thought I'd start a new edition, that looks at the people I have found style inspiration from - those who I may have not considered previously and some who cause a stir. I don't discriminate based on their character when it comes to deciding whether someone looks good, because if you look great I don't care who you are.
I'm a big Kardashian fan but at times i have found myself loving or loathing Kimmy K. Lately however, her style has been admirable, she ha become some what of a style icon for me, she keeps things classy yet so sexy. And has made an astonishing style transformation, toning down the over-clash of bright colours and keeping things simple  yet elegant is a rounded definition of how i see style. Now that is not to say that her fashion choices are not point of objection and controversy.
She has made curvy sexy, and her outfit choices have complimented her figure perfectly. She has really become a style icon.

I have picked my top 9 favourite Kimmy K style moments!

LOOK 1.
I'm a self proclaim white on white lover, and it
takes guts for a curvy girl to pull it off and Kim has
made me love it more! I love co-ord pieces
there really hot right now and simple.

LOOK 2.
I love these pastel colours matched with
an oversized coat.  I love the pastel teal high-waisted
skirt, that mermaid tails at the end shows elegance,
while still keeping it Kim with the tight fitted  crop.
Love it! I love Kim variety of over-sized coats,
she really styles them right, this one in particular.

 LOOK 3.
Not normally a fan of metallics but this pieces is so
beautiful. The mild sheerness of the outfit say sexy
but not trashy. She has really works this
one out. The crop keeps things cute.

LOOK 4.

This outfit is so simple yet so sophisticated.
White shirt, black pants and nude heels.
Kimmy has done it right again. The cut of both
pieces compliment her figure, tight and revealing
where necessary sculpting her best features.

LOOK 5.

One of my all time favourite outfit ever worn
by Kim. The transparent top is kept subtle
by the length of her sleeves and the high
neck line. I love how she pull of a tight
maxi, yet again embracing her curves.
White all the way.

LOOK 6.
I love the pale pink this Autumn, and although
the seasons are different here to the USA,
it still works all year round. I love the cut
and style of this outfit, the skivvy/ high-neck
lines are are so in right now and she wears
this trend so well. And again her curves
are being showcased in this hot tight high-waisted
skirt.

LOOK 7.
This cinderella style gown is so beautiful.
Keeping the piece simple in cut, but so flattering. I love red,
on Kim she holds it so beautifully.

LOOK 8.
I love Kim's relaxed airport look. She looks
so stylish but so comfortable. and again
the monochrome trend is ageless, its for any
age and figure as long as you wear the
correct style of clothing in the places you
desire to flatter or tone down. So basic, but very
 effective.

LOOK 9.
And finally, The last look for the evening. I love
vintage lace look, giving this dress a classy feel
but the sheerness and transparency of her dress
matched with the fuller underclothes are becoming
a trend, one that I'm not so brace to try yet,
but one that Kim makes look effortless. I love the
mermaid hem it creates such elegance and
creates an illusion of a fuller womanly figure and
skinner legs.

What are your favourite Kim fashion moments? Or who is your latest fashion crush that you wouldn't have thought to be?
Let me know :)

Operation Organisation: How I Stay Organised

I thought this post was appropriate since I'm coming up to a busy part of the year, with a lot going on so, it was important to remind myself of how I keep organised, and why not share it with you.
I am now understanding the importance in the art of organisation, Juggling life takes patience, time and organisation. Even when it seems that you have it all together, you have forgotten an appointment, mixed up an event or even ran out of the time in the 24 hours that we are given in a day. Needless to say, life is what you make of it...
Wanting a future, and starting young is a dream of mine, developing a business and seeing it through takes hard work and organisation. Creating good habits is a task, but not an impossible one. I have found success through much trial and error. So, for those young and aspiring entrepreneurs out there or those who just want a more balanced life, I share with you my life in organisation.
With that being said, I wish to share a few tips on how I personally stay organised...

1. I keep an accurate & up-to-date diary, Noting down where and on what my time was taken up. That way I can see where I wasted time, and see how i used it. It may seem unnecessary, but it does make things a lot more manageable.

2. I correspond the above onto my phone, setting reminders and alarms to keep me on track, I have written sticky note reminders for myself, as nerdy as that sounds it makes things interesting.

3. An important thing that i have learnt, is that the making of lists, although seemingly productive, become a complete waste of time. Limit your lists to one at a time, don't make another until your current one is complete, that way you will not only complete what you need to do, but also see it all be completed. One tick at a time.

4. Make sure you make time for yourself, something positive and uplifting. I love walking my dog, early mornings and recently treating my myself to facials and regular visits to my beautician.

5. Most importantly! Don't stress, this is struggle for me. I have found myself in to deep and unable to surface from the pressure of emotions, deadlines and management. My desire for perfection has ruined me in the past. Not to say I don't desire perfection, but is now a following criteria of success. Health and mental stability is far more important.

I really hope that gave you some tips on how to stay focused and keep things under controlled, Now for me to apply them...
I would love to know how you all stay organised, let me know :)

From Brunette to Blonde: Care Tips on a budget

I have recently lightened my hair and was fearful of the upkeep! Having had really dark brown, the transition from brunette to blonde was not easy on my hair. Having quiet silky and healthy hair I was worried that the harsh treatment of my hair would kill it! And being a uni student, expensive products was not so appealing...  But for all of you out there with the same first world problems, I have some solutions!

I'm currently adoring, My Marrakesh Oil and Coconut Express Mousse Treatment (now with Organic Argan Oil) by Schwarzkopf. Just 3 pumps of this baby you have more then enough to lather through the ends of your hair. It's a leave in treatment and is best applied on wet hair. I don't know why or how it works, but It has helped my hair look and feel less stressed.

Secondly, My beloved Moroccan Gloss Pure Argan Oil by Edward Beale. Love this! I apply just a couple of sprays on the tips of damp hair. Leaving my hair smooth and glossy for days. Argan Oil's of any brand have the same benefits, I have just found Edward Beale's one to not leave my hair feel or look oily and shiny in bad way. Its composition is great.

Lastly, I have found that when you have coloured hair, the more you wash, dry and brush the more brassy and dry you hair looks and feels. Being a serial shampooer myself,  I have thrown in the towel and have shifted to using dry shampoo religiously! It's like fresh new hair in a can without the washing and drying, so convenient and efficient! I use Batiste Dry Shampoo: Coconut & Exotic Tropical. I love its coconutty scent! Although there are dry shampoo's specific for brunette hair the end result hasn't been the same, I always end up back with Batiste!

These products are my top 3 right now, so affordable each under $15. So reliable and of designer brand quality!

(So thankful for my hairdresser Gabby who gave me this look! Love her and all the stylists at Pierre Haddad)

Hope these tips helped all you guys on a budget, looking for reliable and easy to use hair products to banish the brass!

Happy hair days!

Let me know about your secret hair weapons!

Hey Hey, All my fellow Nerds!

This semester I have a few friends to help me commit to the new semester.
Being a professional procrastinator I find having company from cute stationary makes the year a whole lot easier!
I find a lot more security in having, written allocations of all things to do...
A balanced medium of study, work, budgeting and a social life is important, so for me organisation is the key... DUH!
Theres a fun way of doing it, for starters find an all purpose 'Everyday Planner' like mine which I bought from office works for a bargain! I love it!
Whatever your learning ability stress will come and stress will go...
However, just remember that with challenge comes gain, and with struggle comes success and appreciation
Uni is only what you make it!
So make it fun, creative and interesting! It's worked for me :)
I'll keep you all updated on all things uni
